Developer docs
Sparka has two ways in. Both work with the same account and the same presentations.
MCP server
Assistants that support the Model Context Protocol connect to one URL:
https://sparka.io/mcp. They can save presentations with polls, quizzes and
word clouds, list and read them, and fetch results after a session.
See Add Sparka to your assistant for setup steps.
REST API
Your own code can do the same over HTTPS at https://sparka.io/v1/, with a
secret key in the Authorization header. Create a key on your
account page.
Keep secret keys on your computer or your backend. Never put them in a web page, a deck or a public repository.
Start here
- Quickstart: save a presentation and run a session with
curl. - Authentication: secret keys, MCP sign-in, and what a deck may hold.
- API reference: every endpoint, field and error code.
- Question types: polls, quizzes and word clouds.
- Errors and Limits.
- MCP server: the tools an assistant gets.
- Building a live deck: start sessions and show results from an HTML deck.
